Organic cotton is softer, thicker, and more durable than fine conventional cotton that wears out much more quickly due to use and washing. All of our products are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. It is recommended to wash our products at 30 °C (90 °F).

According to research, insecticides used in cotton cultivation represent 25% of the global consumption. In developing countries, it is estimated that approximately 50% of all pesticides are applied in cotton cultivation. Organic agriculture utilizes ecological, economic, and sustainable methods, and refuses the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers. The use of pesticides in organic farming is prohibited; organic farming embraces natural methods to combat harmful insects.

Organic cotton allows the skin to breathe, making it ideal for babies with extra sensitive skin. Clothes, nappies, and bedspreads that have undergone chemical processes, including pesticides, can disrupt the natural balance of the skin by holding heat inside, preventing the skin from breathing, and causing rash and eczema on the sensitive skin of babies. Organic cotton is grown and processed without toxic chemicals and is free from synthetic poisons that can interfere with the blood circulation of the user by contacting the skin.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) has been developed through collaboration of leading standard setters. The aim is to define worldwide recognized requirements and ensure the organic status of textiles from the harvesting of raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, all the way up to labeling, in order to provide credible assurance in the minds of consumers.
